8-Day Kenya & Tanzania Circuit Safari: Lake Nakuru, Maasai Mara, Isebania, Serengeti, Ngorongoro & Lake Manyara
Day 1: Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park
Kick off your safari with an early start from Nairobi. You’ll head straight for Lake Nakuru National Park, winding through the stunning Great Rift Valley. Right after you arrive, you jump into your first game drive—think flamingos everywhere, plus rhinos, giraffes, buffalos, and zebras. Lunch comes served at your lodge, and then you’re back out for more wildlife and those classic Rift Valley views. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 2: Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, it’s on to the legendary Maasai Mara. You’ll reach your lodge or tented camp by lunchtime. In the afternoon, you get your first real taste of the Mara: lions, elephants, cheetahs, and massive herds of wildebeest and zebras roaming the plains. Dinner and overnight at your camp or lodge.
Day 3: Maasai Mara—All-Day Game Drives
You get a whole day to dive deep into what makes the Maasai Mara famous. Morning and afternoon game drives mean nonstop chances to spot predators and catch the action, especially if it’s migration season and the Mara River crossings are on. Picnic lunch out in the bush, endless photo ops, and time to soak up the wild. Dinner and overnight at your camp or lodge.
Day 4: Maasai Mara to Serengeti via Isebania Border
After breakfast, you drive south to the Isebania border, cross into Tanzania, and journey on to the Serengeti. Lunch is waiting at your camp or lodge. That afternoon, you set out on your first Serengeti game drive—zebras, wildebeests, elephants, and predators all out on the endless plains. Dinner and overnight at the lodge or camp.
Day 5: Serengeti—Full Day Game Drives
It’s another full day out on safari, exploring the Serengeti from sunrise to sunset. If it’s migration season, you’ll track the herds and watch for lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Picnic lunch out in the savannah, and plenty of time for photography. Dinner and overnight at your lodge or camp.
Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you’ll leave the Serengeti behind and head for the Ngorongoro highlands. You arrive at a lodge near the crater in time for lunch. The afternoon is yours: check out a crater viewpoint, relax at the lodge, or just take in the scenery. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive & Lake Manyara
Start early and head down into Ngorongoro Crater for a full day of game viewing—this place is packed with wildlife, from lions and rhinos to hippos, elephants, and flocks of birds. After a picnic lunch inside the crater, you drive to Lake Manyara National Park. In the afternoon, you’ll cruise along the lakeshore, spotting flamingos and plenty of other animals. Dinner and overnight at a lodge near Lake Manyara.
Day 8: Lake Manyara to Arusha or Nairobi
After breakfast, it’s time to check out and make your way back to Arusha or Nairobi. The drive is scenic, and you’ll reach your hotel or the airport by afternoon. That’s where your 8-day safari wraps up.
