8-Day Safari: Arusha / Lake Manyara / Ngorongoro / Serengeti / Tarangire
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Touch down at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha and let the adventure begin. We’ll whisk you off to your lodge, where you can kick back, shake off the travel dust, or wander around and see what’s nearby. Dinner’s waiting for you at the lodge, and that’s where you’ll spend the night.
Day 2: Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park
Start your day with a good breakfast, then head out to Lake Manyara National Park. This place is famous for tree-climbing lions and those massive flocks of flamingos painting the lake pink. Keep an eye out for elephants, giraffes, and buffalo too. You’ll break for lunch—picnic style or back at the lodge—before continuing to your next lodge near Ngorongoro for the night. Dinner is served there.
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive
Eat early and get ready for a real highlight: a full day inside Ngorongoro Crater. They call it the “Garden of Eden” for a reason. You’ll see lions, elephants, rhinos, hippos, buffalo, and more birds than you can count. Lunch is a picnic right inside the crater. After plenty of exploring, head back to the lodge for dinner and a well-earned rest.
Day 4: Ngorongoro to Serengeti
After breakfast, leave Ngorongoro behind and journey toward the legendary Serengeti. The drive takes you across stunning highlands, and you’ll arrive in time for lunch at your lodge or tented camp. In the afternoon, head out for your first Serengeti game drive—think endless plains, zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, and maybe a predator or two. Dinner and overnight at your camp or lodge.
Day 5: Full Day in the Serengeti
Today, it’s all about the Serengeti. Spend the whole day on game drives, especially if the Great Migration is passing through—those herds are a sight you won’t forget. Morning and afternoon drives mean lots of chances to spot lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, and more. Picnic lunch out in the wild, lots of photo ops, and another night at your lodge or tented camp.
Day 6: Serengeti to Tarangire National Park
Have breakfast, then hit the road for Tarangire National Park. This park is known for its massive elephant herds and those ancient baobab trees. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge or camp, then head out for an afternoon game drive. Expect zebras, giraffes, buffalo, and a great mix of birds. Dinner and overnight at the lodge or camp.
Day 7: Full Day in Tarangire
You get a full day to explore Tarangire. Morning and afternoon game drives take you through open plains and forests along the river, perfect for spotting elephants, lions, leopards, wildebeest, and colorful birds. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before heading back to the lodge for dinner and your last night on safari.
Day 8: Tarangire to Arusha / Departure
After breakfast, check out and start your drive back to Arusha. Take in those classic northern Tanzania landscapes one last time. You’ll reach Arusha in the afternoon, with a drop-off at your hotel or a transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport. That’s the end of your safari—lots of stories to tell.
