7 Days Maasai Mara / Lake Nakuru / Lake Naivasha & Amboseli Safari
Day 1: Nairobi – Maasai Mara National Reserve
The safari begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi, driving through the scenic Great Rift Valley with a brief stop for photography. The journey continues across rolling plains to the Maasai Mara National Reserve, arriving in time for lunch at the lodge or tented camp. After a short rest, guests enjoy an afternoon game drive, offering the first opportunity to spot wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, and various antelope species. Dinner and overnight are at the camp or lodge.
Day 2: Full Day Game Drive in Maasai Mara
After breakfast, guests depart for a full-day game drive with packed lunch, exploring different wildlife-rich areas of the Maasai Mara. The reserve is renowned for its high concentration of predators, including lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as well as large herds of wildebeest and zebra. The day is spent enjoying extensive wildlife viewing and photography before returning to the camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Maasai Mara – Lake Nakuru National Park
Following an early breakfast, guests depart the Maasai Mara and travel to Lake Nakuru National Park, located in the Great Rift Valley. Arrival is in time for lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, guests enjoy a game drive around the lake, famous for its flamingos and as a sanctuary for both black and white rhinos. Other wildlife commonly seen includes giraffes, buffaloes, and various bird species. Dinner and overnight are at the lodge.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, guests proceed to Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake surrounded by scenic landscapes and rich birdlife. Upon arrival, guests may enjoy a boat ride on the lake, offering close views of hippos and water birds, followed by a guided walk on Crescent Island among grazing wildlife. Lunch is served at a lakeside lodge, with the afternoon spent at leisure. Dinner and overnight are at the lodge.
Day 5: Lake Naivasha – Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, guests depart Lake Naivasha and travel south towards Amboseli National Park, located at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. Arrival is in time for lunch at the lodge or camp. In the afternoon, guests enjoy a game drive across Amboseli’s open plains, well known for its large elephant herds and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Dinner and overnight are at the camp or lodge.
Day 6: Full Day Game Drives in Amboseli
Guests spend the day exploring Amboseli National Park with morning and afternoon game drives. The park offers excellent opportunities to see elephants, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, and a variety of bird species, often set against the backdrop of Africa’s highest mountain. The clear morning and evening light provides outstanding photography conditions. All meals and overnight are at the camp or lodge.
Day 7: Amboseli – Nairobi
After breakfast, guests check out and begin the return journey to Nairobi, enjoying the changing landscapes along the way. Arrival is in the afternoon, followed by drop-off at the hotel or airport, marking the end of the safari.
