5-Day Northern Tanzania Safari /Lake Manyara, /Serengeti & /Ngorongoro
Day 1: Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park
Kick things off early in Arusha and hit the road for Lake Manyara National Park. Once you get there, you’ll jump straight into a game drive. This park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, flocks of pink flamingos lining the lake, and a cast of characters like elephants, giraffes, and buffalo. After the morning adventure, lunch is waiting—either at a comfy lodge or a scenic picnic spot. Later, you’ll head out toward Ngorongoro, where you’ll settle in at a lodge for dinner and some rest.
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater
Grab an early breakfast, then descend into the Ngorongoro Crater. This place is often called the “Garden of Eden” for a reason—wildlife is everywhere. Lions, elephants, rare rhinos, hippos, buffalo, and a huge range of birds all call it home. You’ll have a picnic lunch right there in the crater, then spend the afternoon exploring. Head back to the lodge for dinner and another night surrounded by nature.
Day 3: Ngorongoro to Serengeti
After breakfast, it’s off to the Serengeti. The route takes you through some truly stunning highlands before you get to the endless plains. You’ll arrive in time for lunch at your lodge or a tented camp, then dive into an afternoon game drive. Out here, zebras and wildebeest stretch across the horizon, giraffes wander by, and if you’re lucky, you’ll spot predators on the move. Dinner and overnight at the lodge or camp.
Day 4: Full Day in the Serengeti
Today’s all about the Serengeti. You’ll spend the whole day on game drives, morning and afternoon, tracking wildlife and, if you’re in the right season, catching a glimpse of the Great Migration. Lunch is a picnic out in the bush, and you’ll have plenty of time for photos and soaking up those classic savannah views. Another night at your camp or lodge.
Day 5: Serengeti to Arusha
After breakfast, pack up and start the drive back to Arusha. The road winds through beautiful highlands and quiet rural villages. You’ll reach Arusha in the afternoon and get dropped off at your hotel or at Kilimanjaro International Airport, wrapping up your safari adventure.
