5 Days Ultimate Serengeti Great Migration Safari
Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti National Park
Kick off your adventure with an early morning drive from Arusha. Watch the landscape shift as you head north, rolling past small towns and open plains. There’s a quick stop for snacks and coffee, then you roll into the legendary Serengeti just in time for lunch at your camp or lodge. After you settle in, head straight out for your first game drive. The afternoon brings your first real taste of the wild—herds of zebras and wildebeest, giraffes ambling by, maybe even an elephant or a lion on the prowl. As the sun sets, return to camp for dinner and a good night’s rest.
Day 2: Full Day in the Serengeti
Wake up early—this is what you came for. After breakfast, spend the whole day tracking the Great Migration and searching for big cats. You’ll get both morning and afternoon game drives, and somewhere out on the plains, your guide will pick the perfect spot for a picnic lunch. The Serengeti’s endless grasslands are a photographer’s dream, so keep your camera ready. In the evening, swap stories over dinner and relax under the stars.
Day 3: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
Enjoy one last morning game drive if you’re up for it, then pack up for the next leg—off to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Watch for more wildlife as you travel, with sweeping views around every bend. You’ll reach your lodge near the crater in time for lunch. The rest of the day is yours; kick back and take it easy, or wander out to a viewpoint for a fresh look at the crater below. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive
Rise early and head straight down into the Ngorongoro Crater. Some call it Africa’s Garden of Eden, and you’ll see why—lions lounging in the grass, elephants picking their way across the floor, rhinos, hippos, and flocks of birds everywhere you look. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater as you explore. By late afternoon, head back to your lodge for dinner.
Day 5: Ngorongoro to Arusha
After breakfast, it’s time to pack up and head back to Arusha. The drive takes you through the green highlands and past rural villages, so there’s still plenty to see along the way. You’ll get back to Arusha in the afternoon, where your guide drops you at your hotel or the airport. That’s the end of your Serengeti Great Migration safari—memories for a lifetime.
