Day 1: Arusha to Central Serengeti
After an early breakfast in Arusha, depart for Serengeti National Park, traveling through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy beautiful highland views before descending into the vast Serengeti plains. Arrive in the Central Serengeti (Seronera area) in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive. This region is rich in wildlife year-round and offers excellent chances to spot lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, and large herds of plains game. Dinner and overnight at your lodge or tented camp in Central Serengeti.
Day 2: Central Serengeti to Northern Serengeti
After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive as you travel north toward the Northern Serengeti, following the path of the Great Migration. The landscape gradually changes into rolling hills and riverine areas. Arrive near the Mara River in the afternoon, where large concentrations of wildebeest and zebras gather. Spend the afternoon on a game drive searching for migration herds, crocodiles, hippos, and predators waiting near the riverbanks. Dinner and overnight at a tented camp in Northern Serengeti.
Day 3: Full Day in Northern Serengeti
Spend the entire day exploring the Northern Serengeti, focusing on the Mara River area. This is the best opportunity to witness dramatic wildebeest river crossings, as thousands of animals attempt to cross while predators lie in wait. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush and continue following the herds throughout the day. Your guide will adjust the schedule to maximize wildlife sightings. Return to camp in the evening for dinner and overnight in Northern Serengeti.
Day 4: Northern Serengeti to Central Serengeti
After an early breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Northern Serengeti before heading back toward Central Serengeti. Along the way, continue spotting wildlife across the open plains. Arrive in the Seronera region in the afternoon and enjoy another game drive, an area well known for big cats and diverse wildlife. Dinner and overnight at your lodge or camp in Central Serengeti.
Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
After an early start, depart Serengeti for Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive on the crater floor, home to lions, elephants, buffaloes, flamingos, and the rare black rhinoceros. After lunch, ascend the crater and drive back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon where the safari concludes.
